Music - The single greatest thing that has shaped humans forever
If you have one thing in this world that you can always be grateful towards - other than life, that is Music. I am forever grateful for Music to have existed in the past and is continuing to exist among us today. It will exist in the future as long as humans exist.
You know, there are some songs that I don't remember at all in my Spotify playlist. There are 800+ songs from multiple genres and different languages. I always put the playlist in shuffle. It's like I'm ready to be surprised, but if I don't like the song, I'll be changing it. Sometimes, I come across a song that I don't expect, and it changes the way I look at things. It influences my decisions and makes me act based on its emotions. I do not know if it is a bad thing. But I really appreciate it. Like, I was listening to this song, and I had thoughts like I'm so grateful to have chosen this path, surviving life, having good friends, sharing memories, and of course - being able to meet you.
There are some songs that make me think of all the wrong decisions I've made, then make me acknowledge them, drive me to figure out why I did that. Some give me motivation, some help me focus, and some make my head ache. Even so, I think I really love all the songs in my playlist. I'm so grateful for being able to hear, listen, and understand these songs.
You know songs/music always brings people together. I am so glad to have been introduced to rock bands like Queen, AC/DC, Imagine Dragons, Oasis, LinkinPark etc by my cousins and college roommates, my friends from college for introducing me to Kpop and finally my brother, who introduced me to Anime and OST.
My exposure to music started at a young age with learning Indian Classical Music. I guess that built the foundations for me beign able to appreciate music at this level. I am no professional, I am just a passerby infatuated by every emotion, every thought and everything expressed by music. I hope to share my love for music with others and keep listening to it forever. I hope more people would do the same.
I am forever grateful to the ones I couldn't name - my family, my friends and loved ones.
Out of bytes, cya!
